Colombia 2019 – Day 8 – March 15, 2019

Hey y’all, I cant believe its already day 8! This morning we started off right with some coco puff cereal before construction (what a magical way to start your morning). We finished our construction of the foundation. It was a happy moment to have completed something, yet sad to see the concrete go (and fill in the massive holes we dug). After a delicious lunch, and saying hi to the cutest little bird ever, we were off in the truck for our 40 minute voyage to Arroyo Seco. We took some youth from Brisas so the ride was definitely tighter than it should have been. In Arroyo Seco we talked with some of the Y/A’s about what they like to do, their job, or what they want to do. We played some telephone with them and got some pretty weird answers, yet it was super fun. After dinner this evening we all learned Flo’s dance to “I Like It.” We did not do it well, but it was fun nonetheless. Of course since we already were dancing we had to have a dance party, which was a huge bop. It was great today to be able to connect with more youth from Brisas and Arroyo Seco. I cant believe we only have one full day left in Brisas, but I am sure it will be amazing. Anyways, shoutout to y’all in the cold and snow (I don’t want to come back)
